Regrettably, the standard USB port used for exporting images will not work for transferring video footage on this model. I have been told that the USB cable is for still shots only. Had I understood the limitation, I might have looked at a different Camera. Don't show me this message again. you dont need to install any specialized software because your Windows Movie Maker (which comes with Windows XP) will do the job of capturing video from your camcorder.i have the same Refer to the instruction manual of the software. by R.
